Donald A. Bussey was 64 when he died of a sudden heart attack while out running. Running was a passion of his and he ran many marathons. He encouraged other runners and remembered their names at future races. His favorite movie was Chariots of Fire, not just because it was about running, but about two other important elements in Don's life: integrity and faith. Don met and fell in love with his wife Barbara when he was 14. Their love never faltered. They were married in 1967 and had a daughter, Karla. Don loved to help others and was a strong believer in organ donation. When he died we never hesitated a moment on donating. Corresponding with Michael, Don's right kidney recipient, has been such a blessing to my daughter and me. God gives us these bodies but how wonderful is it that the parts can be used to give others life?
